John Deer

John Deer, one of North America's leading experts on digitizing and embroidery for the corporate and home marketplace is a third generation embroidery guru. He has more than 20 years of digitizing experience. John grew up in the Schiffli industry and was trained in the "old world" manual stitch-by-stitch punching techniques. He owns and operates Punch Perfect; a digitizing and corporate consulting firm.
John has won 30 digitizing awards including Impressions Magazine "1998 Digitizer of Distinction" and "1998 EMB Grand Champion" He also won the 2001 Stitches Magazine "Stitch-Off Grand Prize," and his teaching within his own company has allowed all his employees to win numerous awards. As a co-founder of Art-Sew-Perfect, he has produced trendy and fashionable stock designs as well as numerous instructional DVDs used for educating customers who want to learn the art of embroidery. Over the last eight years, John has given workshops and taught hundreds of seminars on digitizing, embroidery techniques and how to make money with embroidery. He has also written more than 50 articles for trade publications in North America and in Europe.

John Frank

John Frank, the chief "Goose" in Goose Crossing Studio, brings a delightful sense of humor to all of his art. Living in such a remote area (according to John) that he cannot even get a cell phone signal, John loves to be challenged and create new art for his licensees. One of his most recent humorous offerings was inspired by a simple “coffee cup.” From that has sprung an entire tabletop collection.
John and his wife live in Waterford, Connecticut. John’s tag line is “Honk if you want good art.” That describes John Frank and why everyone loves working with him.

Boni Jean

BoniJean began drawing as a child, and gained recognition painting murals and winning school contests. Today she continues to express her playful spirit and irrepressible sense of humor through an assortment of fanciful characters.
After art school and a traveling the world as a flight attendant, BoniJean became a successful illustrator with multiple licensing agreements.

Stephanie Kimura

Stephanie Kimura is the designer/owner of a wearable and decorative arts pattern company. She is the author of Bags With Style, Bags And Accessories With Style, and Art To Wear With Asian Flair published by Krause Publications. Her goal is to promote creative sewing and embellishment.
Two of her projects, Flowers For The Empress and Getting A Handle On Leather And Suede, can be seen on Sew Much More on the DIY Network, as well as America Quilts Creatively and Living Well on PBS.
Stephanie's work has been recognized in The Fairfield Fashion Show 2000 and the Sulky Challenge. Some of her future endeavors include surface design patterns, a new book on embellishment, and a television appearance on Kay Woods Quilting Friends.

Christopher Nejman

Christopher Nejman is a photographer, musical composer, Web master, author, fiber artist and hair designer. Inspired by Nancy Zieman's Sewing with Nancy show, he began teaching sewing classes to a local client base in Florida and then began designing for his clients. Now he travels extensively, teaching sewing classes and appearing on television shows, such as Sewing with Nancy. He specializes in designing pillows, handbags, garments and accessories. He is the author of Christopher Nejman's Pillows: Designer Sewing Techniques by Krause Publications.

Pat Olson

Pat Olson began her art career selling her paintings at craft shows. This evolved into a retail shop where she sold her artwork and craft supplies as well as taught classes. A publisher of decorative painting books saw Pat's work and was convinced that she would be a hit in the "how-to-paint" market. Pat began traveling across the United States and Canada teaching her painting style to classes everywhere. Pat has written many books, including Homespun Hearts, All the Happy Holidays, and Countryside Collection.

Gary Patterson's work is enjoyed and collected throughout the world. Born and raised in California, Gary submerged himself in art as a child. His family influenced and encouraged his artistic pursuits.
Gary attended UCLA and the Art Center College of Design for a short time before going into business for himself. He went on to gain recognition in many fields of art and finally decided to specialize in humor. During his career, Gary has achieved numerous prestigious awards including acceptance to the Los Angeles Museum of Art. Today, millions of people own or recognize the distinctive characters of his illustrations and the intimacy of his unique humor.

Susan Pisoni

Susan Pisoni is a self-taught artist. She is well-known in the Decorative Painting Society for her whimsical style, and she has painted murals in homes and businesses from St. Louis to Sanibel, Florida. She has taught art classes for more than 22 years, and has written 16 published instructional booklets. Susan has also written numerous articles for painting magazines. Her licensing work appears in needlework, fabric and gift items. Susan resides in St. Louis.

Shelly Rasche

Shelly S. Rasche is a freelance commercial artist who works with companies around the world from a studio in her Camp Point, Illinois home. Hundreds of her designs have been reproduced on a wide variety of gift, paper and cloth items. Products that bear her designs in the marketplace include baby bedding, music boxes, greeting cards, framed prints, mugs, women's clothing, collectible figurines and more. She also loves to illustrate stories and curriculum materials for children. Using pen and ink along with watercolor, she makes children, animals, or even angels spring to life with a character all their own. Her warm and often humorous children's illustrations have appeared in magazines, books, and curriculum materials. In her spare time Shelly loves to work in her extensive flower gardens.

Eileen Roche

Eileen Roche, founder and editor of Designs in Machine Embroidery magazine, has taught at industry trade shows across the United States and is the author of Contemporary Machine Embroidered Quilts (2004, Krause Publications) and Contemporary Machine Embroidered Fashions (2006, Krause Publications). Since Eileen embroiderers just as much, if not more, than her readers, she has brought solutions to many problems embroiderers face. Eileen has created numerous tools for the home embroiderer and has a patent pending for the In The Hoop™ Angle Finder. Eileen makes regular appearances on PBS TV's Sewing With Nancy, Sew Much Fun, Martha's Sewing Room and HGTV's Sew Much More.

Janet Skiles

Janet Skiles is an illustrator who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with High Honors in Graphic Design and Illustration from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois.
She worked as a staff artist for Good Apple Publishing Company before pursuing a career in freelance illustration for the greeting card market. She has created art for puzzles, game boards and box covers for children's games. Her art has been featured on products that have received honors, including Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal "Best Toy" Award, 1999 "Toy of the Year" Parenting Winner Award from Parenting Magazine and 1992 Editor's Choice Award from Early Childhood News.
Puzzles of her art have appeared in National Geographic, National Wildlife, and The Smithsonian Gift Catalogue, as well as other gift catalogs and nature stores. In 1995 she illustrated her first picture book, "The Birth of A Whale" by John Archambault, which won a 1996 National Parenting Publications Gold Award. Since then, she has co-authored and illustrated many books and products for the educational market. Her illustrations also appear on journals, note cards and stationery, needlework, decorative flags, holiday themed decorations and puppets.

Janet Wecker Frisch

Illustrator Janet Wecker Frisch lives near St. Louis, Missouri. She received early training from her father, artist John F. Wecker, and formal training later in commercial art.
Janet‘s work combines realistic tendencies with fine detail, resulting in a much loved classic and unique style. Inspirational sources include vintage illustration, nature and people. Her characters' fun and funny faces are considered her specialty. Janet has licensed her art for seven years to a number of large manufacturers. Her art appears on fabric, dinnerware, wall covering, woven throws & pillows, gift bags, stationery, flags, tempered glass and puzzles.
